A little piece of functional art to lift your spirits! For this bag I used a reverse appliqué technique to reveal the fish stamped muslin beneath the black linen fabric. On the flip side, there is the same technique with the fabrics reversed, to create a little patch of seaweed.

This seaweed is my favorite I've done. The green confetti batik fabric underneath created a really beautiful texture for the seaweed, and I decided to leave a couple leaves uncut so as to only have the golden yellow stitched thread outline. The raw edges create an organic and textured look, and a double stitched seam secures it all around. The lining is the same soft, washed cotton muslin used on the outside panels.

The stamping on this pouch was done with a black acrylic fabric paint, and is washfast!

The dimensions are: 4.5" wide x 4.5" tall
