This gorgeous bag is made from a warm medley of eco printed fabric scraps. I was inspired by the warm tones that the onion skins and avocado pit made on some of the fabric pieces I used. I especially love the feeling of stained glass that this pattern evokes. It has a special little quilted patchwork pocket on the inside, made from yet, smaller scraps.
I used some fabric twine that I twisted as one of the drawstrings and paired it with a plain cotton cord for the other drawstring. The ends of each drawstring are knotted off with beautiful, grounding agate beads. I offset them as to not clank too much, but rather to occasionally bless your ears with the subtle sounds of stones clanking.
The pattern for the patchwork squares comes from Yoko Saito's book, "New Classic Patchwork"
Check out my other rice bags, each is unique and beautiful! A truly special home for your precious belongings for storage and travel.
