I stitched this pouch as kind of a personal medicine for myself at the time, and it set me off on a whole slow-stitch pouch series that I have thoroughly enjoyed creating.
This bag is the perfect bag for a swamp witch with its plethora of textures and earthy, toned down colors, contrasted with the black hand quilting thread which runs through the whole piece.
A while ago I made a big mistake and had to slice around the whole seam of a pouch panel and it left me with this nice scrap of tencel and cotton, almost rope, and I kept it on my table eager to make something fun with it in the future. A little circle of that made it onto the back of this bag to complete its eclectic nature.
It is lined with a white linen/cotton blend fabric, and is not padded. The closure is a gold, sew in snap!
