A dream of a little pouch. Some hand-stamped fish swim and dance around a bouquet of textures and colors, some subtle, and some ever so iridescent and reflective. 
 
This is a large sized coin pouch, measuring  approx. 6.5" wide by 6.5" tall. The outer fabric base is a soft washed cotton muslin, and the lining is a washed linen fabric in the color taupe, from my fabric catalog. The drawstrings are a lightly waxed cotton cord with two beige ceramic beads. All of the details on the bag are made with scraps of eco-printed cotton, silk dupioni, and silk charmeuse. I hand embroidered some glass seed bead details as well. 

A truly special gift, for yourself or a loved one to hold a few items of importance. It would look gorgeous on a shelf or hanging (not recommended for very heavy contents).
 
For the stamping I mix a handmade oak gall ink with a fabric paint medium, which is then heat set to the fabric. I still recommend spot cleaning for these bags, but if it needs to be washed, to use lukewarm water with a very gentle laundry soap (no detergents), and do not soak. Absorb extra moisture with a handtowel and hang dry.
